Happy New Year!

Happy 2015! I cannot believe how quickly 2014 flew by - and what an incredible year it was! I am amazed that only a year ago I set my word for 2014 and much we stuck to it this year. 2014 was truly a year that was celebrated and each moment was cherished. 2014 was a major year in our lives as we celebrated the start of our marriage and a beautiful European honeymoon. 2014 was the year that I finished my first year of teaching, and started my second, and the year that Josh started a new and amazing job. 2014 was celebrated and cheered and now, we are ready, so ready, to welcome in 2015.

My word for 2015? Move. This year, this word will take on a number of meanings. As we prepare to begin house hunting in the upcoming months and then to move out of our current apartment, it will represent our literal move, but it will also act as a push for me to be more active (a lifestyle change that I started working towards in 2014) and to reach for my goals.

Like last year, I'm not setting any specific New Year's resolutions. My only hope for 2015 is that I will live each and every moment to its fullest. I wrote an e-mail to a friend the other day and ended it with a welcome note to 2015 that I think is quite appropriate here:

'Welcome to 2015 - a year that will be filled with magic, wonder, and new life. Let's be grateful for every moment - the good ones, the ones with struggle, and the ones that make things a little harder - and appreciate that they each contribute to this beautiful thing that we call life.' I can't wait to see what this year has in store!
