Happy {First} Weekend!

Happy Friday, everyone! This week has been incredible - student teaching started on Wednesday and I am loving being in the classroom. I spend the next few weeks observing, and by the end of January, I will be fully in control of one class (teaching U.S. History from the French and Indian War up to around the War of 1812). My cooperating teacher is great too and I am so lucky and so excited for what the weeks ahead hold. But it has been a busy week - early mornings, back in the gym, and an adjustment to a new schedule - and I am very much looking forward to some down time this weekend.

This weekend, Josh and I are hoping to go see a movie and spend some time relaxing after an exciting week back to the real world after the holiday break. I am most look forward to enjoying a couple of quiet mornings, finishing Yes, Chef: A Memoir, starting to gather things together for lesson plans, and to begin to prepare for my two classes this semester that begin next week. While this week has been busy, I was able to spend some time enjoying a few of my favorite blogs - and these are a few of my favorite things from around the web this week...

A savory recipe for a croque-madame

Seven new meals in seven nights ... I'm up for the challenge!

Beautiful sofa re-upholstery

I think I have officially found my planner for 2013

A little chalkboard paint for added organization

Delicious carrot soup (and I got the cookbook as a gift last week!)

Have a happy {first} weekend!

  3. That planner is too cute! I moved to my iphone last year for all my appointments, but that link is making me miss the paper versions. I have the worst handwriting through so mine would not look as cute :)

Have a relaxing weekend- I'm sure you are exhausted after such a busy and new week!
