Believe.

This year, inspired by two of my favorite bloggers (Elise Blaha Cripe and Ali Edwards), I am choosing a word for 2012. This tradition, originally created by Ali Edwards in 2007 - you can read more about it here - is to pick one word and to use that to focus on throughout the year - in thought, in practice, and in action. My word for 2013 is believe.

2013 is going to be an incredible year. I began my first day of student teaching this morning (starting with observations, but within a few weeks taking full control of 1, and then later 3, high school history classes), Josh's career is heading in great places, and together we are so excited about what 2013 holds for us in life and in love.

A large piece of this excitement though is believing in myself, my dreams, in Josh, in our love, in my studying, in teaching, and in so much more. For me, I feel that this word is a perfect one for 2013.

Will you be picking a word for 2013? I'd love to know what it is - you can leave it in the comments!
