Happy Wednesday! With the weather taking a turn for the worse, even though there's a promise that it will warm up in time for the weekend, I am in need of a little pick me up this morning. It's another rainy day here in Boston - foggy, gloomy and windy - the works. The only redeeming quality in this is that it should reach almost 60 degrees later on today. Well, that, and that this weather allows me to day dream about all of my favorite rainy day clothes! On a day like today, sometimes the only thing pulling you out of bed are thoughts of your favorite rainy fashion. While I do own a very similar rainy day assortment of clothes (trench, raincoat, fun bright scarf and a great umbrella), it could always use an upgrade - I really do need Hunter rainboots - and this collection would be perfect.

There's something about waking up to a thick swirl of fog surrounding your windows that makes you want to just curl up and go back to bed. Something that makes you want to call in sick to the office and spend the day curled up under the covers with a cup of cocoa and great book (maybe 1Q84, December's READ THIS! book...) and forget about everything else around you. It makes you want to pull your computer onto your lap and spend the whole day on Pinterest going through all of their wonderful ideas and start to plan for those sunny days when you can once again create your own beautiful projects.
Today, is one of these days. Except that, as an adult, one cannot simply call out of work because of fog (though wouldn't that be really wonderful?). I thought I'd showcase a few of my latest Pinterest favorites this morning to help get your creative juices flowing. It's supposed to snow here later tonight and this may be bringing a weekend of lots of inside time and so, here are some projects that you can do inside, while enjoying the warmth of your home...
So last week, I previewed this week's blog posts with talk of new DIY projects and recipes and then I didn't actually post about any DIY projects or any delicious recipes. I was a little under the weather this week and after a trip to the doctor on Wednesday evening, finally got some antibiotics and now I'm on my way to feeling great again. I am incredibly excited for this weekend and my first trip to a fabric store to pick up fabric to start making my first quilt! As one of the goals on my list for this year, I am so ready to dive into it. I'm still not entirely sure what pattern I'm going to use, but I've narrowed it down to a few and I'm eager to pick one that isn't too hard to get started. And then I have to choose colors - how am I supposed to choose from all of these beautiful colors???
