Happy {Celebration} Weekend!

In case you haven't noticed through my recent posts, I just wanted to share with you again - I am absolutely loving life right now. Every single moment is better than the last; I am living my dream and I could not possibly be more thrilled about it. I had my first Back to School Night last night and I was so excited to meet the parents of so many of my students, and I'm hoping that at some point I can connect with each parent or guardian and get to know them all. I truly believe that connecting parents with their child's life at school can help every single student succeed in and out of the classroom.

And another amazing thing? So many parents told me I was their child's favorite teacher. And yes, I almost cried happy tears talking to parents last night at least 5 times. Cue the cheesiness - but seriously, it was incredible. I don't even have the words to fully describe it.

Know what else I don't really have the words to describe (although I'm sure I'll find them at some point)? My excitement for all of the incredible celebrations that are occurring this weekend.

Tonight, my mom, dad and brother are flying up from NJ to celebrate my graduation from grad school!! I'm picking them up from the airport and we're heading to dinner at my new favorite restaurant - I will take pictures and share a review next week! - and then on Saturday morning, I will be walking across the stage to accept my Masters Degree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm not sure that that is enough exclamation points, but I think that you get the idea.)
After graduation on Saturday, and a short post-ceremony celebration with mom, dad, my brother and Josh's parents (sadly, Josh is in Toronto until Saturday and then flying directly to New York so he isn't able to attend graduation), I will be hopping in my car and driving out to Cooperstown, NY to celebrate the wedding of our good friends on Saturday and Sunday.

I am so excited to celebrate life with some of my favorite people this weekend and want to thank each and every person who has helped me along this journey - through encouragement, guidance and love - I am so grateful for everything that you do for me.

I hope that you're ready to have an amazing weekend too - filled with love, laughter and lots of celebration! Have a wonderfully happy weekend!
