Recipe: Oreo Milkshake

Last night, Josh asked me if I would make him an oreo milkshake. Except that there was one problem - I've never actually made a milkshake. Smoothies? That I can do. Milkshakes? Whole other story. Or so I thought. It turns out, I make a mean oreo milkshake and now, you can too.

First, grab your milk (1% or higher), vanilla ice cream, and 3 double stuffed oreos.

Place 5 (yes, 5) scoops of ice cream into your blender. (I have one of those half ice cream scoopers so if you have a large one, 3-4 scoops will probably suffice.)

Pour 1/4 - 1/2 cup of milk into the blender.

Break up 2 of the oreos and toss into the blender as well.

Then, blend until smooth for about 10 seconds. Add the remaining oreo and blend again.

Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Josh absolutely loved this milkshake and my guess is that I will be creating many more in the future. I'm currently dreaming about an oreo mint one, mmm... Do you have any favorite milkshake flavors? I'd love to hear about them!

PS. This makes 1 almost 16 oz. serving and no, I'm not actually sure that separating the oreos does anything, but I like to think it did. And yes, these go really well with the Chocolate Caramel Shortbread Bars from this morning.
