DIY: Nailhead Trim Corkboard

Good Morning! It is a beautiful day here on this sunny Spring day; I hope the weather is just as wonderful where you are! This weekend was both relaxing and productive - and the great weather yesterday was perfect. While Josh and I didn't go out for the holiday, as Nash was neutered on Friday and we didn't think it was fair to crate him with a cone around his neck, we did watch Midnight in Paris and season finale Walking Dead - both of which were amazing! And I cooked up a storm - so there'll be lots of recipes in the upcoming weeks! I also got the chance to work on a number of projects that I cannot wait to share with you! First up? This nailhead trim corkboard!

This project is so easy, and, if you already have a corkboard, can costs under $10. I was inspired by Chelse over at Two Twenty One - you can check her awesome version here. All you need to make this is a corkboard, thumbtacks, fabric, adhesive spray, hot glue gun, scissors and an iron/ironing board.

A few of the items you'll need...
First, iron the fabric to make sure there are no wrinkles in the fabric. Then, lay it out to measure against your corkboard.

Then, cut the amount of fabric that you need, and using the adhesive spray, attach it to your corkboard.

Next, press the thumbtacks around the edge of the corkboard, pushing each one into the cork.

Finally, use your handy dandy glue gun, and glue the edges onto the back of the board.

Turn it back around and you're done! Congrats - you've made your own nailhead corkboard!

Did you get any fun projects done this weekend? I'd love to hear about you've been working on!
