All In

Happy Wednesday! I'm so sorry for the radio silence this week, but things have been a bit more hectic this week than I had originally expected them to be. I never had a chance to schedule posts and with the move, and a few other crazy/stressful things going on, it's going to be hard to post regularly this week. In the meantime, I will be active on Twitter, and will be posting pictures to Instagram, so please head over to those pages of mine (you can link to them from the sidebar to your right) to keep up with me this week!

Over the past few days, we've done so much and yet somehow still have so much to do. As of Monday morning, our living room in the new apartment looked like this... (please excuse the pre-work, 6:30 am iPhone photos)...

Two days letter, it's looking slightly better, and I'm looking forward to having time to take pictures in daylight to give you all a much better look at how it is all coming together. We do still have so much stuff to do, but we're optimistic about it, and excited to finally feel more at home at our new apartment!

For us, being able to sit and relax on our couch with Nash will make it feel most like we're at home. We're a little nervous about his reaction to our moving though, so we want the apartment to be as unpacked as humanly possible before he comes into it when we pick him up on Thursday.

When you've moved in the past, what have you done to make your new place feel like home? Do you try to unpack and settle all at once? Or do you tend to take your time with the unpacking process? I'd love to hear what has worked for you!

  1. i've always unpacked and set up my bedroom stuff first. i can deal with any amount of crazy in the rest of the living areas, as long as i have a little calm retreat to sleep in at the end of the day.
