IKEA Preview Trip

This past weekend, Josh's sister moved to New York to begin her post-college career and this, of course, required a trip to IKEA in preparation of her move. Josh's sister and father had already been and asked Josh and I to meet them there with our car to help them carry out and transport the furniture back to their house. Josh and I arrived early and spent some time wandering around getting ideas for our new apartment. IKEA is one of my favorite places and I love wandering around to get inspiration.

I fell in love with this concept of layering placemats. For $2.99, I think it's a great investment to enhance your kitchen table decor.

Looking to save space but still need a space for coat hooks? The Barney Hooks (just made this up, feel free to use it!) might be an addition to our new apartment!

If you're looking for tinted glass vases, IKEA is great for cheap glassware. These were all under $20.

Lately, we've been watching a lot of Property Brothers. And by a lot, I mean that we're a little more than obsessed with Drew and Jonathan and Jonathan's incredible kitchen makers. This means we're doing a lot of thinking about our future kitchen and we're both loving the modern country look.

Great way to store frequently needed items in your kitchen - this could be used for spices and olive oil - whatever you need most often.

And last, but not least, my favorite picture from our little preview trip around IKEA - the legs to my new desk!

I am so excited to head back to IKEA later this week and to purchase a few of these items (and a few that didn't make the list). I will keep you updated on what I get and how we put them to use in our new apartment!
