DIY: I Love You Canvas

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today is dreary and rain-filled - the kind of day that makes you want to pull the covers over your head and stay in bed all day watching movies like Dirty Dancing and Sabrina (the 1995 re-make with Harrison Ford, of course). But instead, I am out of bed and ready for the day ahead - a little rain shouldn't stop us all from having a fantastic Monday! And today, I want to share with you a fun piece of art that I created for our bedroom.

In order to make this art, I grabbed a small canvas, black and red paint, and a small paintbrush.

Then, I wrote "i love you" in black paint over and over, leaving out one "love" in the bottom right corner. I went back over any parts of the letters that seemed streaky.

When I was done with the black lettering, I added in the missing "love" with red paint.

It's a fun addition to our bedroom art - and is currently sitting on the dresser in front of our mirror, with some other recently created art!

I'm thinking that this project would also be a lot of fun to do with wedding colors, or with the lyrics of a special song - highlighting your favorite line or verse with a different color.

Have you made any fun art for your home lately? Created any sentimental DIY projects? I'd love to hear about them!
