Recipe: Berrylicious Smoothie

Good Morning! I was originally going to post this morning about the to-die-for meatloaf I made over the weekend (yes, meatloaf - and it was fantastic), but with this beautiful weather, I thought that instead I'd share my new favorite smoothie recipe with you. I made it this weekend and it was delicious and healthy. This is a must make!

In order to make the smoothie, gather up your ingredients.

To make this, you'll need:

1 small banana
8-10 strawberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
3 scoops vanilla frozen yogurt
2 scoops raspberry sherbert
1/2 cup apple juice

Slice up your banana and strawberries.

Then put them in the blender and place the frozen blueberries on top of them. (Note: The bananas are hiding at the bottom.)

Depending on your tastes, you can always add more or less of any of these ingredients. Hate blueberries? Then just leave them out for a strawberry banana smoothie instead! Next, toss in 3 scoops of vanilla yogurt and 2 scoops of raspberry sherbert. Again, you can make substitutions here if you're not a fan of raspberry, although you can't really taste it in the smoothie, and use plain or another flavor sherbert instead. Either way though, definitely add the sherbert - your smoothie will not be the same without it.

Finally, pop the top on your blender and blend until the ingredients are starting to break down.

Then, stop your blender and add half a cup of apple juice. If you don't have apple juice on hand, milk would work okay too - it would just make a thicker smoothie.

After it's been added, continue to blend until smooth and serve!

Sorry there are no tall glass filled pictures, we drank them too quickly! I promise this smoothie will not disappoint! Make it tonight for a delicious warm weather treat to relax when you get home and enjoy the beautiful weather today! Happy Tuesday!
